Examination on Advanced Mathematics II

Time: 17.6.2020


The exam HM II, originally scheduled for 8 April 2020, will take place on 17 June 2020.

A new registration is required for this exam (This is not true for students in higher semesters that are still administrated with the HIS IT-system). Use the student protal for registration. It is necessary to have achieved the requirements from the Advanced Mathematics I problem sessions to be able to sign up.

Please note the following deadlines:

  • It is possible to register starting from 15 May 2020.
  • The online registration has to be carried out by 15 June 2020, 8:00am.
  • It is possible to cancel the registration online until 17 June 2020, 8:00am. For later cancellations,

please see the staff before the exam.

Details regarding the Exam

Day: Wednesday, 17 June 2020
Begin: 10:00 am
End: 12:00 am

The exam takes place in Gartenhalle, Kongresszentrum Karlsruhe, Festplatz 9. A detailed seating will
be send to your KIT E-mail adresse a few days before the exam.

Due to Corona there are some hygiene regulations: You may enter the hall about 45 minutes before the exam starts. Wash your hands before efficiently. Furthermore, please complete the following declaration shortly before the exam and show it at the entrance. Additionally it is recommended to wear a mouth nose protection when entering and leaving the hall. In the waiting area, the foyer of the hall, at least 1.5m distance among each other is required.

Bring your student ID card with you . At the entrance there will be an identity check.

Bring a reasonably strong stapler to staple your exam papers before handing them in.

The problemsheet and paper will be layed out in an envelope.

After the exam please leave the area around the hall speedy and observe still the distance requirement.

Allowed resources

You may bring and use the following resources during the exam:

  • the printed lecture notes including your own notes, but no additional pages
  • a handbook of formulae
  • one additional mathematical work

Regarding the last two points: Works without an ISBN have to be checked and signed by one of the examiners
before the exam. For this purpose contact us at least in the weak before the exam.

In particular, it is not allowed to use a calculator.
