Abstract:
We study the E₂-algebra of surface bundles over a fixed space X, topologised as the space of maps from X into the corresponding moduli spaces (‘parametrised moduli space’), and describe the homotopy type of their group completion. This involves an anlysis of centralisers of mapping classes and several operadic techniques, extending work by Basterra, Bobkova, Tillmann, Ponto, and Yeakel. Finally, we give an outlook how to apply our methods to further parametrised Eₖ-algebras. This is joint work with Andrea Bianchi and Jens Reinhold.
