Topics in Algebraic Topology (Sommersemester 2025)

This course introduces several algebraic invariants in order to study topological spaces up to deformation, beyond those covered in the lecture Algebraic Topology. This includes singular cohomology, product structures on cohomology, and homotopy groups. Further topics of this course include Poincaré duality, (co-)fibrations, and cellular approximation. We assume familiarity with the content of the lecture Algebraic Topology (basic notions of homotopy and category theory, singular homology, CW complexes, cellular homology and homological algebra).
