Rational Homotopy Theory (Summer Semester 2017)

This class provides an introduction to Rational Homotopy Theory. Using the concept of Sullivan models we shall describe and compute the rational homotopy type of a topological space in a purely algebraic way. In particular, we shall be able to compute rational homotopy groups of several classical spaces like, for example, homogeneous spaces.

A basic knowledge of concepts from Algebraic Topology is recommended.

First Lecture/Tutorial: Thursday, May 4th!
