In this lecture, we want to learn some basics about some topics in Geometric Analysis. We start with an introduction about Minimal Surfaces. We will get to know the Weierstraß formula for Minimal Surfaces and we will prove Bernstein's theorem: Every graphical Minimal Surface over all of R^2 must be a plane.
In the second part of the lecture we will learn some tools to get results about a geometric evolution equation. The focus will lie on the Mean Curvature Flow of hypersurfaces in Euclidean space.

The first Exercise session will take place at May 10 (Wednesday).

In general, we changed the time for the exercise sessions. The new time is Wednesdays, 11.30 am. The place is SR -1.008 (in the basement of the math building).
