Advanced Mathematics II (Summer Semester 2013)

This class is mandatory for students enrolled in the International program in Mechanical Engineering of the Carl-Benz School of Engineering.
Please note, that the problem class starts on April, 23th (Tuesday) and the students tutorial starts on April, 25th (Thursday).
The problem with the registration is solved. The systems works again and the registration for the AM2 exam in the studierendenportal is possible now.

Tutorial
We offer a tutorial on thursdays 11:30-13:00 in room SE203, where a tutor (Georg Neutard, a senior student) discusses problems/problem sheets with you. This tutor will also correct your homework.
Problem sheets
Every Monday a new work sheet with 5 problems will be handed out. For each problem you can get up to 10 points. Your solutions must be handed in on Monday after the week after next (so you have one and a half week to deal with the problem sheet). The work sheets will be posted on this homepage each Thursday and the paper copies will be available the same or the next day in the ID. You can hand in your homework in the post box of your tutor. His room number is D402.
It is allowed to hand in the homework together with a fellow student. But it is not allowed to change the partner during the semester.

Testat
If you successfully work on the homework, a testat will be given to you at the end of the semester, which is required for registration for the exam.
Please note: The AM II exam is part of the Orientierungsprüfung, which you must complete by the end of the third semester.
For the testat, you have to satisfy the following criteria:
- Obtain at least 125 points on worksheets 1 to 10. This is 25% of all the total points obtainable (each worksheet is worth 50 points)
- Have at least 5 points from at least 8 of those worksheets.
Examination
The exam takes place on Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 9:00-11:00.
