Lecture: | Wednesday 11:30-13:00 | Seminarraum 33 |
This lecture is the second part of an introduction into numerical methods to solve
Maxwell's equations. The main focus is on Nedelec finite elements
and its application to photonic bandstructure calculations.
The students are expected to have basic knowledge in theory and numerics of
partial differential equations and functional analysis.
This lecture is part of the education in the Research Training Group 1294
"Analysis, Simulation and Design of nanotechnological processes".
A lecture with focus on analytical methods for Maxwell's equations by
Frank Hettlich (Lecture 1562) will take place tuesday 9:45-11:15 (R 31).
