Lab course for Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations (Summer Semester 2006)

- Audience: Mathematics, Pysics, Computer Scientists, Engineers (from 6. semester)
First, we illustrate a complete realization of parallel finite elements (including basics of parallel programming with MPI, shared objects, parallel linear algebra, finite elements applications) and practice the concepts in small programs.
In the second part of the laboratory we develop new applications in small groups by extending the example programs.
If required, the lecture will be given in English.
