Content: In the seminar recent original papers will be presented and discussed which deal with aspects on the numerical treatment of direct and inverse scattering problems. Specific questions on the numerics of integral operators, on boundary elements or on finite elements for scattering problems as well as on regularisation methods for inverse scattering problems will be considered.

Audience: The seminar is addressed to students in the master programs on Mathematics, Mathematics in Technology or Mathematics in Economy. Basic knowledge from one or several of our courses on integral equations, inverse problems, scattering theory, Maxwell equations, numerical methods for integral equations or boundary element methods is required, where specific topics can be chosen in dependence of your previous knowledge.

Preliminary Meeting: There will be an online preliminary meeting on February 2nd at 1:30pm. If you are interessted in attending the seminar, please send an e-mail to us such that we can transfer the login details to you.
