DEPARTMENTAL BOARD

The board of the department is headed by the Dean, who is elected every four years by the Departmental Council from among the professors. He is assisted by his deputy, the Vice Dean and the Dean of Studies.

The departmental board is responsible for all department matters, unless the State Higher Education Act (LHG) stipulates otherwise. After consultation with the Department Council, it determines the teaching duties of the members of the faculty who are obliged to teach, insofar as this is necessary to ensure proper teaching. Within the scope of the department's duties, the departmental board supervises the facilities assigned to the department that serve research and teaching (LHG § 15 para. 7). It is responsible for the economic use of the funds allocated to the department for research and teaching. The departmental board informs the Department Council regularly and, in special cases, immediately about all important matters" (LHG).

MANAGEMENT TEAM

The management team is responsible for all administrative tasks. The computing services team and the mathematics library are affiliated to the Dean's Office.
