
From 2 to 4 March 2026, KIT will host the scientific workshop Data-driven methods for PDEs. The workshop will focus on modern data-driven approaches to the numerical solution of partial differential equations and will bring together classical methods of numerical mathematics with current developments in the field of machine learning.

Manuel Krannich, Junior Professor at the Institute of Algebra and Geometry, has been awarded this year's "Academy Prize in the Mathematical and Scientific Disciplines" by the Niedersächsische Akademie der Wissenschaften. The department warmly congratulates Dr. Krannich on this award.

On December 5, 2025, the KIT Department of Mathematics will celebrate its annual graduation ceremony. In a festive setting, the Department of Mathematics will bid farewell to all graduates of its master's programs and doctoral students of the year 2025. In addition, the departmental prizes will be awarded. This year's keynote speech will be given by our alumnus Dr. Felix Hagemann, Senior Scientist - Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH.
