Prof. von Rentelen passed away

We have received the sad news that Prof. Dr Michael von Renteln passed away on 15 April 2026. He served as a professor at our faculty’s Institute of Analysis from 1980 until 2007. During this time, he also made a significant contribution to the history of mathematics, and in particular to the history of mathematics in Karlsruhe. We mourn with his family and will always honour his memory.
