
The 23rd Karlsruhe Christmas Workshop on Geometry and Number Theory will take place from December 15-17, 2025. The organizers Frank Herrlich and Gabriela Weitze-Schmithüsen have once again been able to attract numerous renowned speakers from Germany and abroad.

Manuel Krannich, Junior Professor at the Institute of Algebra and Geometry, has been awarded this year's "Academy Prize in the Mathematical and Scientific Disciplines" by the Niedersächsische Akademie der Wissenschaften. The department warmly congratulates Dr. Krannich on this award.

On December 5, 2025, the KIT Department of Mathematics will celebrate its annual graduation ceremony. In a festive setting, the Department of Mathematics will bid farewell to all graduates of its master's programs and doctoral students of the year 2025. In addition, the departmental prizes will be awarded. This year's keynote speech will be given by our alumnus Dr. Felix Hagemann, Senior Scientist - Carl Zeiss SMT GmbH.

On 19.11.2025 the study information day took place at KIT. The Department of Mathematics was represented with a stall and our study programs were presented in various events. More information can be found on the KIT website for the Study Information Day.

The aim of this workshop on October 23 & 24 is to bring together students of mathematics, young researchers and established mathematicians from universities and industry who are researching and working on partial differential equations (PDEs).
