Academic Guidance and Service

The purpose of the student advisory service is to advise you on the design of your course of study and to solve any problems that may arise in accordance with the examination regulations. Typical cases in which you should make use of the academic advising service are

  • Planning your studies and changing subjects,
  • Recognition of examination results, for example from a previous degree course or a stay abroad,
  • Extension of deadlines, for example for the orientation examination or for the completion of a thesis,
  • Application for a second repetition of an oral or written examination,
  • Problems in special life situations, see also the SLE website.

There is an web page on information for studying abroad. You can find much more information on the pages of the Service Unit for Studies and Teaching (SLE), in particular at the Central Student Advisory Service (ZSB). The website of the Center for Teacher Education (ZLB) contains all the important information for the teacher training courses, in particular on the accompanying studies in educational science, the orientation internship and the school internship semester.

The BSc/MSc Technomathematics degree programs will be discontinued due to the new Bachelor's/Master's degree programs in Computational Data Sciences. The BSc will be discontinued in WS 26/27, the MSc in WS 27/28. Enrolled students can of course complete the degree program. With a BSc in Technomathematics, you can in principle transfer to the MSc Computational and Data Sciences or MSc Mathematics. In this case, please contact the Student Advisory Service in good time.

Below you will find the contact persons for the student advisory service for each degree program.
